Agnès Breton is a graduate of Sorbonne University.
She is a French and literature teacher at secondary level.
After first leaving France for Gabon in 2010, she subsequently moved to Lima, where she had her first journalistic experience, producing articles for a French publication based on interviews of people from Lima’s art scene. She moved to Democratic Republic of Congo in 2015.
Moved by the scenes she witnessed shortly after her arrival, she teamed up with journalist Soraya Kishtwari to help with Mama Congo, in homage to the strength and courage of Congolese women.
Agnès transcribes and edits all the audio files enabling their translation and helping to ensure they are suitable for publication.
Agnès lives in Port Gentil, Gabon, with her husband and two sons.
